The Favor System Foundation recognizes that our operations have an impact on the environment and the communities we serve. We are committed to integrating sustainability into our core business strategy and day-to-day operations. Our definition of sustainability encompasses Environmental Stewardship, Social Responsibility, and Economic Health.

1. Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this policy is to outline our commitments and guidelines for operating in a sustainable manner. This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, contractors, and suppliers of The Favor System Foundation. We believe that we have a responsibility to care for and protect the environment in which we operate.

2. Environmental Stewardship

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact by:

• Resource Conservation: We will strive to reduce our consumption of resources, including water, energy, and raw materials. We will prioritize the use of renewable energy sources where feasible.

• Waste Reduction: We implement a "Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" philosophy. We aim to minimize waste sent to landfills by prioritizing digital documentation over paper, recycling eligible materials, and composting organic waste where possible.

• Sustainable Procurement: We will give preference to products and services that have a lesser or reduced effect on human health and the environment when compared with competing products or services. This includes purchasing recycled content products, energy-efficient equipment, and goods from local suppliers to reduce shipping emissions.

• Travel and Commuting: We encourage the use of public transportation, carpooling, and remote work options to reduce the carbon footprint associated with employee and volunteer commuting.
